Project L.I.F.E.

Project L.I.F.E. is a transitional shelter for sixteen homeless families referred by the Orange County Department of Social Services. Families stay in their own furnished apartments and are given bedding, bath, kitchen and household items.

Eligible families may live at Project L.I.F.E. for six months. The Facility provides Families with 24 hour security and support. Families receive on-site case management and child care; transportation; after-school and weekend activities; advocacy and referrals as necessary; and assistance in locating affordable permanent housing.

CASE MANAGEMENT

Case Managers provide advocacy, advice and encouragement. They ensure Families have access to needed health and social services, make referrals for education, training, and employment, provide life skills and resource information, assist with parenting and family relationships, and locate and place families in permanent housing.

CHILD CARE

Project L.I.F.E. provides child care for the families in the program. Children are nurtured in a cozy environment with a small staff to child ratio. The Family unit is strengthened by providing enhanced services which include: infant and preschool child care, toddler program, respite care, meals and snacks, and an afterschool program. An activities program provides evening and weekend recreation for children and families.
